Fatigue
Take action and see love deepen
Depression and exhaustion can be overwhelming and draining. We often don't see it coming. An occasional low mood suddenly becomes a constant state of exhaustion, brain fog, migraines and muscle pain. Before we know it we have withdrawn from hobbies, family and friends. We feel isolated, helpless and hopeless. When we feel low and depressed, we often feel guilty and doubt our ability to change. You may feel like a burden or worry and believe nothing can change. We find it difficult to accept support or express your needs.
By committing to both your mental health and your relationship, you can transform fatigue and despair into a renewed sense of hope, connection, and love. Together, we can work to create a brighter, more fulfilling future.
What causes depression?
Depression can develop for many reasons, including life stressors, unresolved emotions or even genetic predispositions. Exhaustion frequently accompany depression, exhaustion is often caused by prolonged stress, overwork, caregiving responsibilities, unresolved conflicts, or feeling stuck in challenging or difficult situations that can't be resolved.

These experiences can also be triggered by environmental factors, like a controlling boss at work or issues with the children at school. We may have internal struggles, such as being a workaholic, the need for perfectionism or low self-esteem. The more we focus on this, the more we worry, the more trapped, exhausted and disconnected we become.

How does depression affect your relationship?
Depression can profoundly affect our relationship. When we struggle with depression or exhaustion, we withdraw, become irritable, often feel overwhelmed by guilt or self-doubt - making it difficult to express love or connect with our partner. This emotional unavailability can leave the other feeling rejected, confused, or even feeling that they are responsible for the depression. Shared activities may decline, we stop being intimate and conflict increases as the couple tries to navigate the new challenges (on top of other daily stresses). This leads to frustration, strain, lack of trust and increased relationship anxiety.
