Panic Interruption
When panic hits, your brain goes into survival mode — convinced something terrible is about to happen. You brain is stuck in a panic loop.
Panic interruption techniques involve shifting your attention onto something else or manageable. This calms your nervous system as your brain now realises: “I must be safe — otherwise I wouldn’t be able to do this very ordinary thing.” This is a bridge to managing panic. A way to put your body and mind in reverse
How to action: shift your attention for just 3-4 minutes onto thinking tasks that engage the brain:

-
Counting down from 100 in 2's
-
Notice, name and describe 5 objects around you.
-
Crunch ice cubes or eat an extra hot mint and ask yourself what it feels like.

The more engaging the activity, the faster your brain will break free itself from panic. If you are finding this is not working, you may want to combine this with diaphram breathing and containment for the best effects.
