Panic and Anxiety Experts
Panic and Anxiety Expert
The MindFull Practice is a specialist panic and anxiety clinic enabling clients overcome stress and anxiety relating to their job, money, health, relationships even existential angst or perhaps it is dogs, authority, vomit buttons, death or even panic itself. Many of my clients do not suffer from anxiety in isolation but also experience intense periods of panic with unwanted bodily sensations that accompany the anxiety, such as a racing heart, brain fog, sweating, confusion, prickling, jerks, overwhelm, hyperventilating, trembling or intrusive thoughts. If not managed, can intensify and grow into a full-blown panic attack. This can create an additional health anxiety. I help clients navigate through the mental minefield to safety, guiding them onto a more resilient path - where panic and anxiety lose their power.
'You have two choices. To control your mind or to let your mind control you.'

Meet Nathelie
I am an accredited CBT hypnotherapist and my specialisation is treating panic attacks and anxiety. I am also a panic helpline volunteer working for a national charity. The impact of panic attacks and anxiety can be brutal, critically impacting our work (if we can work), our moods, the pain we feel, relationships, sleep, what we ingest and even our ability to leave our bed. Find out more about anxiety. The consequences can include depression, phobias, addictive and compulsive behaviours and health anxiety which cover disguise the base anxiety but still rule our lives. Find out more about panic attacks.
I have been where you are now. For years I lived with so much fear and trauma - I was in constant pain and found little support within the community as nobody really understood. Ten years ago I found my way back and gained my freedom. This gave me the passion to guide others back to firmer ground and so live without anxiety and not ruled be panic, phobias and addiction.
I also able to clients reduce relationship conflict at home, socially and/or at work. I have been a divorce coach since 2016 (with a specialism in high coercive situations and child contact issues.) I can help navigate relationship breakup and heartbreak. I'm currently training with Tavistock Relationships and look forward to introducing couple psychodynamic skills to my practice.
As an accredited GC Index coach, I help clients reframe their value within the couple dynamic and in groups/teams, This provides them with a universal language to build better relationships. This can help improve relationships at work so clients become more effective within teams.
I can also support clients with depression, existential angst, confusion, fear of death, nihilism and hopelessness. I used ACT tools combined with my 40-year meditation and mindfulness practice and my non-duality philosophy (aligned with the teachings of Eckhart Tolls and Rupert Spire.) This alchemy gas enabled me to create The Mindfull Practice which is the philosophy that underpins all my work.
I am also a career and motivation coach. for many years I have run Belgrave, a City coaching and therapy boutique, that continues to provide motivation / performance and career transition coaching and related mental health support to lawyers. Early in my career I worked as a litigation solicitor that showed me the damage caused by inflexible mindsets and binary solutions.
My Approach
My approach to therapy favours evidenced-based techniques (CBT hypnotherapy tools) as these provide the most consistent and effective treatment outcomes. Hypnosis enables clients enter the very deepest state of relaxation and harnesses the imagination to conjure more creative solutions. Behavioural therapy resets maladaptive automatic patterning whilst cognitive therapy uncovers unhelpful safety behaviours, reframes negative cognition and empowers the resilient self. I integrate other techniques, on a case by case basis, favouring Gestalt tools, different breathwork modalities, imagery based recall and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). I introduce cognitive defusion training into each treatment as this engenders long-term resilience and self efficacy.
My Navigation
Storytelling is an impactful tool to empower the imagination and used by Milton Erickson, one our most renowned hypnotherapists, to take clients deeper into the experience. I often use storytelling to introduce colour and sensory depth to sessions and workshops, encouraging clients to play with ideas, think outside the box and find more creative solutions. This is a particularly potent tool for clients who struggle to visualise.
My Philosophy
The MindFull Practice is my therapeutic philosophy. It starts with the questions, what can your mind see? As what you see (or think you see) is what you fill your mind up with. The thought you focus your attention on is what shapes your subsequent thoughts and behaviours. That is why feeling anxious creates more anxiety. When you look through the window of your mind what do you see? Anger? Fear? Joyful possibilities? It's your choice. Whatever you choose you create.
Imagine clearing the mental fog

My Accreditations

Is hypnosis dangerous?Hypnosis is not dangerous. It is, in fact, a natural state of being that we can go into when we are very relaxed and intently focused. You will always be in control and choose what to do or say.
-
Does hypnotherapy really work?According to the Royal College of Psychiatrists, hypnotherapy have been scientifically to be very effective at treating a wide rage of mental health conditions, including anxiety and panic disorders. depression, PTSD. addictions, insomnia compulsive behaviour and phobias, as well as some physical health conditions such as IBS, anaesthetic procedures, child birth, burn wound care, cancer treatment side effects and chronic pain.
-
Will hypnosis work for me?That depends on you. The ability to respond to hypnosis depends on your level of suggestibility. However, those with a low suggestibility score can improve their ability to increase suggestibility by practicing with their therapist and at home. For those who cannot visualise, this can be improved by working through psychoeducational tasks with a therapist.

Is CBT more effective than Hypno CBT?CBT (or cognitive behavioural therapy) is the first stepped approach of the NHS - the first course of action for a patients struggling with a clinical mental health issue, such as anxiety or depression. Studies show that CBT is also the most effective therapy for reduction phobias and OCD. As for depression, research shows that around 43% of patients report a sustained reduction in depressive symptoms. Anxiety patients have a 50-75% improvement. Research also shows that using hypnotherapy and CBT successful treatments outcomes increase further. This could be that the client has on-boarded profound relaxation techniques. Maybe because 'Hypno CBT' is an integrative model and more flexible than CBT, so the therapist has the flexibility to introduce other treatments modalities, such as Gestalt tools, so offering a more tailored treatment.
